Staying Safe Online

• Keep conversations on vvipshadi until you trust the other person and their family.
• Never share financial information, passwords, OTPs or bank details with anyone.
• Be cautious of anyone who quickly professes love, avoids video calls, or always has an excuse.
• Do not send money, gifts or investments — a genuine match will never ask for money.
• Verify claims independently; ask for a video call before meeting in person.

Meeting in Person

• For a first meeting, choose a public place and preferably involve family, as is common in matrimony.
• Tell a family member or friend where you are going and whom you are meeting.
• Arrange your own transport to and from the meeting.
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave and contact us.

Common Scam Warning Signs

• Requests for money, loans, or help with a "medical emergency" or "visa/customs fee".
• Profiles with only glamorous photos, celebrity-like claims, or overseas "gifts stuck in customs".
• Pressure to move to WhatsApp or another app immediately.
• Refusal to do a live video call or meet with family present.
